Encouragement
Hey Westside!
Encouragement. From time to time we all need it. How often? It depends on who we are and what we are going through at the moment. But, whatever our circumstances, as believers we will always either be in a position to bring encouragement to others or receive encouragement from them.
Even the strongest people get tired at times, but God’s power and strength never diminish. He is never too tired or too busy to help and listen. When you feel all of life crushing you and you cannot go another step, remember that you can call upon Jesus to renew your strength.
In the same way, we can reflect the love of Jesus to each other. As He lifts us up, we can do the same to others. We can speak uplifting words, sit with the sick, watch the children of a young mother, feed the poor, take a meal to a senior, or mow the lawn of someone unable to do so. The number of ways to bring refreshment is as limitless as our God given creativity.
Proverbs 11:25 (NLT)
The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.
My prayer at Westside is that we remain a community of encouragers. We can do it!
